“This village (Karama) and its people are far from the sights and subsequently from the minds of development organizations. It’s the first time that we have been endowed with such a blessing. I on behalf of my tribe thank SRSP and ensure unconditional support to them in making our village a model village.” said Malik Raaj Gul, local resident.
A gravity flow drinking water supply scheme is completed by SRSP in a remote village Karama of Ladha Tehsil, South Waziristan District. The scheme will supply 24/7 clean drinking water to over 70 households in the village.
The inaugural event was attended by the representatives from the District Administration, Local Formation, local elders and community members. The total cost of the scheme is PKR 2,587,500 which is funded by the Government of Germany through KFW to support Reintegration and Rehabilitation for Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) in newly merged districts of KP.
