Building Strong Foundations
Through the organization of over 45,029 community-based institutions, SRSP has empowered over 1 million households and 8 million individuals. This vast network strengthens social connections and fosters collective action.
Financial Empowerment for Women
SRSP’s impactful microfinance programs have disbursed over PKR 2.5 billion, reaching over 151,709 households – remarkably, 98% of these beneficiaries are women. This financial inclusion empowers women to contribute to their families’ well-being and participate actively in the local economy.
Investing in Women's Skills
SRSP has provided skill enhancement and training programs to over 210,808 women, equipping them with valuable skills to secure employment and enhance their livelihoods.
Prioritizing Menstrual Hygiene Management
SRSP’s commitment to women’s well-being extends to menstrual hygiene management. Through dedicated initiatives, they have empowered over 50,842 women with access to essential resources and education.

Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM)
SRSP aligns with international commitments, including the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals on WASH, health, education, and gender equality. SRSP has trained provincial and local master trainers for MHM, who have raised awareness among school teachers, health workers, community women, and adolescent girls. Collaborating with national and provincial working groups, SRSP has provided MHM awareness to 190,572 women and distributed 50,802 dignity kits, benefiting Afghan women and adolescent girls. Additionally, 97,598 individuals have been sensitized on GBV, 76,001 community members trained on the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and 56,000 people reached through awareness programs.
Support for Afghan Refugees
SRSP supports Afghan refugees in 43 villages across KP, implementing projects worth PKR 3 billion to enhance socio-economic resilience. Initiatives include the establishment of 340 community-based organizations, 275 infrastructure schemes benefiting over 60,500 individuals, and skill development programs training 1,608 Afghans. SRSP’s targeted interventions in WASH, education, and GBV prevention address immediate needs and foster long-term integration and empowerment.
Gender Equality through Financial Inclusion
Since 1997, SRSP’s microfinance program has empowered over 151,709 households (98% women beneficiaries) by disbursing PKR 2,559 million in micro-credits. This initiative supports small-scale enterprises and businesses, enabling women to contribute financially and challenge cultural norms that restrict their roles to domestic duties.
