SRSP head office recently had the honor of hosting the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Pakistan, accompanied by the First Secretary and a Policy Officer from the embassy. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the ongoing community interventions undertaken by SRSP under the IR&EG project, funded by the Netherlands Embassy.

A Collaborative Approach to Community Development

During the meeting, the SRSP team, including the CEO, COO, and project staff, briefed the delegation on the current implementation status of the IR&EG project. This collaborative initiative aims to empower communities through various development programs.

Meeting the Heart of the Project: Women and Trainees

The Ambassador also had the opportunity to meet directly with women community members from both host communities and Afghan refugees. These interactions provided valuable insights into the project’s impact on beneficiaries.

Showcasing Skills Development: Visit to the HRDC

The visit concluded with a tour of SRSP’s Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC). Here, the Ambassador met trainees participating in the ongoing mobile phone repair training program offered under the IR&EG project. Witnessing this firsthand provided a glimpse into the skills development opportunities SRSP offers to empower individuals and communities.

Building a Brighter Future Together

This productive visit highlighted the strong partnership between SRSP and the Netherlands Embassy in promoting community development in Pakistan. Through collaborative efforts, these initiatives empower women, enhance skills, and pave the way for a brighter future.
