SRSP launched a 3-month vocational skills training program to support flood-affected communities in D.I. Khan district. The program trained 53 participants in various trades, including electrician, mobile repair, and tailoring. This initiative falls under the ‘Livelihood Support and Promotion of small Community Infrastructure Project (LACIP-II)’, funded by KfW and led by the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF). SRSP is responsible for local implementation.
The program concluded with a closing ceremony yesterday. Attendees included the Additional Deputy Commissioner of D.I. Khan, the Principal of GTVC Boys D.I. Khan, local elders, and SRSP staff. Trainees received certificates and toolsets to equip them for future employment opportunities.
