SRSP Annual Report 2019-2020

2018-19 could well be remembered as one of the most crucial years in SRSP’s history. A year which saw successful completion and closure of some of its major programmes including European Union’s supported PEACE-the biggest programme implemented by SRSP in 7 districts of Malakand Division and UNHCR operations which supported millions of population in disaster affected merged/tribal districts. Due to new regulatory frameworks, change in the government, donor priorities and inclination towards budgetary support programmes, the working space for civil society organizations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continued to shrink, which invariably had an effect on scale and level of interventions delivered by SRSP. Whilst pace of interventions remained thin and low especially in settled districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, major thrust of programme activities, during the year, remained adequately high in newly merged tribal districts with support from EU, KfW and UN Agencies
